Shambhavi, Reerdha (Spine), Iron installation
Founded in 1989 by Renu Modi, Gallery Espace cemented their position on the Indian art scene by showcasing work that defined the 1980s: with exhibitions by Jagdish Swaminathan, Manjit Bawa, Krishen Khanna, Bhupen Khakhar and Vishwanadhan, to name a few. Since then, the gallery has gone on to showcase the work of several noteworthy artists, including some of India’s leading women artists: Zarina Hashmi, Nilima Sheikh, Shambhavi Singh, Nandini Chirimar and Chitra Ganesh.
We had the pleasure of supporting Espace with the media outreach for their presentation of Manjunath Kamath’s new work at the 2019 edition of Abu Dhabi Art, as well as for the gallery’s 2019 showcase of Shambhavi Singh’s first solo exhibition, Bhoomi.
